Care:
Mashine wash with temperature not exceeding 30C. High temperature can damage the wool and cause product losing its shape. No iron.
Because of micro massage effect of the wool the item can appear to be itchy. Use cloth conditioner during wash.
Unlike cotton and man-made materials, wool does not need to be washed frequently - wool garments can be worn many times if allowed to be aired out between wearing them.
Why Dog Wool?
Chiengora is a yarn or wool spun from dog hair (chien is the French word for dog, and gora is derived from “angora” the soft fur of a rabbit). It's up to 80% warmer than wool and sheds water well. Its fiber is not elastic like wool, and that's why often chiengora is blended with other types of wool during the carding process. Dog wool is characterized by its fluffiness, known as a halo effect. It has a similar appearance to angora and is luxuriously soft.
Dog hair has been found in yarns dating back from pre-historic Scandinavia, and in textiles from the Navajo Indians of North America. It was the main fiber spun on the Northern American continent before the Spaniards introduced sheep.
Why Alpaca Wool?
Alpaca fleece is a lustrous and silky natural fiber. While similar to sheep’s wool, it is warmer, not prickly, and bears no lanolin, which makes it hypoallergenic. Without lanolin, it does not repel water. It is also soft and luxurious.
