location: probably Somewhere in Southern California, or Oahu's Waikiki Beach
ankle slappers with Kid and surfboard in foreground.
period: either mid to late 1940's.....to early 1950's
guessing from her 'swimsuit' and bathing cap.
RARE to find any early actual photographs of a Gidget surfing.......

-B/W photo border matted

reverse side......100% original period framing....NOT done recently!
