Authentic Antique Nippon Morimura M Wreath 1914-1940 Lrg Scenic Vase Gold Beaded
Recently acquired from a fine estate, we are pleased to offer you this gorgeous item for your consideration.  It is fine quality and would make the perfect addition to your collection or given as a gift!
Item: Nippon hand-painted scenic water / coastal double handle vase
Theme: Acquired from an amazing estate sale where the owner traveled frequently to Asia for business during the 70's.  He brought this beautiful antique vase back to his wife on one of his business trips.  Back-stamp of Nippon, "M" in wreath, Morimura green, sharp edge stem, dating it between 1914-1940.
Heavy gold gilt, gold beads along the top edges and rim.  Handles solid painted gold leaf.  Beautiful bright blue and red geometric shapes creating a "curtain" to reveal the gorgeous coastal scenery that covers the remaining entire middle to lower portion of the vase.  Purple, pink, and red hues with trees and vegetation.  A river flows into the lake.
This unusual square shaped vase is double-handled.  It would easily be priced over ,000 had it not one flaw to it: one of the handles appears to have been repaired in the past. It looks like it broke at the sections where the handle meets the body of the vase.  A skilled artisan may be able to professionally restore this work of art to it's original condition.
Size: Approx 10 7/8" tall, 5 1/4" square base, 3 3/4" mouth opening.
