ANTIQUE NIPPON Maple Leaf Set of 2 Gold Trim Hand Painted Plates c1891

Description

Set of 2 Gorgeous Nippon Maple Leaf plates. Embossed gold trim with hand painted grapes with vines is subtle yet exquisite. “Maple Leaf Nippon”, dates back to 1891 and the Maple Leaf in the back stamp mark should be 1/4″ wide (1/2" marks are more modern copies). All Nippon pieces were banned and changed to "Japan" in 1921.
Measurements:
Each plates measures about 7.8" in diameter.
Condition:
These plates are in excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks, stains or crazing. Painting is also very much in tact.
